A man was killed in Palm Beach County after a motor vehicle crashed into the motorcycle he was driving. Florida authorities arrived on the scene of the Saturday night crash to discover that the motorcyclist was injured. The driver of the other motor vehicle was also found injured at the scene.

How the accident happened

The recent motorcycle crash took place at around 9 p.m. According to authorities, a man, 25, was driving a motorcycle westbound along Belvedere Road. Police said he was driving speedily in the road’s inside lane.

Police said a woman, 21, was driving a sport utility vehicle east on the road and began to turn left onto another road due to not seeing the motorcyclist. The front side of the motorcycle then reportedly hit the back passenger-side door of the SUV. The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and landed in the sport utility vehicle’s trunk. Authorities said he was transported to a hospital, where he passed away five days later. The SUV driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to a medical center.

How an attorney can help

The surviving loved ones of the motorcyclist may choose to file a wrongful death claim against the SUV driver, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages sustained in the Florida accident. If they are successful in their claim, they may be awarded financial damages to cover the deceased motorcyclist’s hospital expenses. Monetary damages may also help cover the loss of support for the deceased man’s surviving dependents.
